After working for a long time, she achieved her breakthrough in the drama Down to the Bone where she played a drug addict.
By chance her mother and a photographer entered her picture in a face of the year competition for the british newspaper the evening news and won.
Munro completed her contract for Hammer with Captain Kronos — Vampire Hunter in 1974.
